1 Breeder selection - who can sell pigeons through PigeonBid?
At PigeonBid, we are committed to building a platform based on trust, honesty and high standards - towards both buyers and breeders. That is why the sale of pigeons through our site follows clearly defined rules.
We work with growers who:
- have proven results in racing pigeons (at branch, district, regional, national or international level),
- take care of the health, condition and origin of their birds,
- are willing to provide reliable documentation (pedigrees, photos, descriptions, references),
respect the principles of ethics and fair play in breeding and sales.
We work with both established champions and talented, lesser-known breeders. PigeonBid is a space where quality counts - not just the name. We offer breeders clear conditions, long-term cooperation and the possibility to promote their pigeons in Poland and abroad.

2. pigeon selection - which birds can go to the PigeonBid auction?
Not every pigeon can be auctioned - selection takes place in two stages:
STAGE 1: Evaluation of the dossier
Each pigeon entered is assigned to one of four categories:
Proven breeder - specific and current evidence of breeding effectiveness is required.
Proven aviator - we analyse last seasons results, number of competitions, level of competition.
Young bird - performance of parents and siblings is key. We prefer young from established lines, preferably children or grandchildren of successful aviators/breeders.
Collector birds - rare specimens with unique origins, e.g. children of famous world pigeons.
STAGE 2: Visual and fitness assessment
Pigeons entered in the Premium or VIP package undergo an additional visual assessment by a PigeonBid expert who checks:
structure (muscles, body, wings),
- vitality,
- general health and cleanliness,
- conformity with photos and description.
Each pigeon judged will receive a visual report to assist buyers - it is not a quality classification, but a professional description of the bird.

3. DNA certificate - proof of origin
In the case of full broods of young pigeons, we offer the possibility of DNA certificates (at an extra charge or in the VIP package), which confirm the relationship of the young to the declared parents. This gives buyers complete transparency and confidence in their purchase.
From the 2025/2026 season, we plan to gradually introduce a mandatory DNA certificate for all young pigeons in special categories.
